More than a yoga retreat: an exploration and adventure 〰️
I’m hesitant to call this a yoga retreat, because it’s really more of a container for play and exploration by the shores of Playa Negra in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica.
BUT! I’ll say this: I’ll be offering one or two optional practices each day, but how you spend your time here is entirely up to you. We’ll be staying at a boutique resort nestled in the jungle, complete with a full-service restaurant offering three daily meals, and a spa with treatments such as full-body scrubs and masks, massages, and steam sessions. While yoga will naturally be a big part of who is drawn to this experience, there’s no pressure around what you “should” do once you arrive.
The yoga practices are designed to help you gently connect with your body and meet yourself exactly where you are. Morning sessions will be spacious and grounding, with plenty of pranayama, optional meditation, and a sound-bath savasana in a tree-covered yoga shala. In the afternoons, an optional restorative and yin practice will offer an intimate exploration of rest and rejuvenation—supporting you in easing into a quiet evening or recharging if you choose to head out and explore.

Peace Retreat is nestled in Guanacaste province, between Tamarindo and Nosara. Fly into Liberia International Airport; pickup is provided and the shuttle ride takes about an hour and a half.
Most shuttles include bottled water, air conditioning and complimentary Wi‑Fi.

You can take a 10 minute tuk tuk or an easy 20ish minute walk to the closest beach, Playa Negra!

YES! I chose this retreat center intentionally because it offers opportunities to connect with other like-minded people—if you want to.
A shared meal might turn into a beach walk and even a new friendship. Or you’re welcome to keep to yourself, put your hat on, and fully enjoy your introverted time. However you choose to experience it is perfect.

Rooms have air conditioning, however there are some open air rooms available and the lower price point is reflected of your chosen accommodations.

Most rooms can be converted into private accommodations. I chose to host this adventure at Peace Retreat intentionally—the majority of the lodging is shared so that these experiences are accessible to those who don’t want to spend $5,000+ on a seven-day getaway. This retreat is priced at least $1,000 less than most comparable retreats, and I’m so excited to be the one offering it!
After all, you’re in the jungle of Costa Rica—that’s the real focus.

Comfortable and communal, Casa Verde is a large, open-air dormitory near the café, yoga studios, cabinas, and outdoor bathrooms. Double-screened walls and ceiling fans invite natural breezes, providing simplicity and ease. The space is efficiently designed with seven semi-private sleeping areas, separated by teakwood half-walls. Each space includes a single bed, side table, reading lamp, linens, and towels—ideal for guests seeking connection and shared experience.
