Trish Lanns
Sound Bath Meditation Facilitator and Yoga Guide
Trish is a Toronto-based Sound Bath Meditation Facilitator, EFT-Tapping Practitioner, and Yoga Guide devoted to creating soothing spaces that invite deep relaxation, balance, and clarity. My work supports individuals in regulating their nervous systems, cultivating mindfulness, and releasing stored tension, empowering them to move through life with greater ease and resilience.
Guided by love and compassion, Trish expertly weaves together sound therapy, somatic practices, movement, breath, and stillness to create restorative spaces where others can slow down, reset, and reconnect with their true selves. Her intention is to hold a nurturing environment for reflection, healing, and personal growth.
Yoga Educator, Sound Bath FacilitatorTash Francesca
Tash is a student of yoga who teaches from her ongoing practice and studies in biomechanics and yoga philosophy. She has a deep interest in supporting and empowering the nervous system, and in helping people better understand themselves through both classical yoga texts and an anti-oppressive lens.
In her classes, you can expect to explore targeted muscle engagement that helps illuminate how compensation patterns show up in the body, as well as the thought patterns that reinforce habitual movement. Her approach encourages curiosity, awareness, and self-inquiry. Students often leave feeling more connected to their bodies, more present in their minds, and with a nervous system that feels more settled and at ease.
Northern Edge Algonquin — located just three hours from Toronto at a quiet corner of Algonquin Park — co-creates and hosts all-inclusive transformational retreats for groups of 10 to 25.
Unplug in nature and join us for custom-tailored, multi-day experiences that reconnect and inspire the leader within, while nourishing deep connections within your community.

Enjoy incredible meals cooked on-site, all the winter toys you need to make the most of our scenic, waterfront property, and evenings that invite you to unwind in the sauna or gather by the fire. Yes! Northern Edge will send all participants a Google Form to fill out. From there, you’ll be able to see who you can reach out to for a carpool. You can then decide among yourselves whether there will be an exchange and where to meet.
-
Absolutely, this is not a yoga olympics or boot camp. This is a winter getaway to nourish yourself from the inside out. You’ll get many reminders throughout the 4 days to give yourself permission to make the choices that fill your cup. Take it easy or challenge yourself as much as you like.
-
Combined, Trish and Tash have many skills and interest so while we’ll have a general intention for the practices, we’ll also coordinate based on the energy of the group. The morning classes will likely be movement-based and the evening classes will be more chill.
-
Much like other retreats you’ll get a packing list close to the retreat start date emailed to you. Since this retreat is occurring in the wintertime, ankle-high boots are encouraged and ones you can easily slip on and off are best. Gloves are helpful along with a flashlight.
If you ever forget anything, don’t worry, likely the retreat center will have it.
-
The retreat center is amazing, you’d never know the whole thing runs on solar power so! We need to be mindful of wattage because heat producing electronics can shut down the power for the entire center.
-
Because there’s no data. Don’t worry, you’ll love it. I’ll put money on it.
Frequently Asked Questions
For many, winter in the city can feel daunting.
A winter retreat offers the opposite: an escape from the busy-ness of urban life and a return to the healing support only nature provides. Say yes to beginning your year in an environment that is nourishing, supportive, and truly one of a kind. It’s time to do this for you.
A retreat is an invitation to reconnect—with yourself, with nature, with your practice, and with new friends. You won’t need to decide what to eat or how to spend your time—those details are lovingly taken care of so you can simply arrive and be. When that mental space opens up, real nourishment, deep rest, and authentic alignment become possible.
And if the thought of practicing yoga once or twice a day for several days feels intimidating, here’s the best part: you can choose what serves you. Every offering is optional, because this retreat is designed with you at the center.
